How It Works

Morpheus8 Burst uses a specially designed applicator with 24 tiny, gold-coated pins that gently penetrate beneath the skin’s surface to kickstart your body’s natural healing response. How quickly will I see results?

Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically after three weeks the most noticeable results appear. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment.

What areas can be treated?

Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from resurfacing and subdermal renewal. The most commonly treated areas include the face, periorbital area, abdomen, thighs and buttocks.

How many sessions are recommended?

Your practitioner will recommend the optimal number of sessions to be performed based on your personal objectives. Treatment times and frequency will be specifically tailored to obtain the optimal results.

What does the downtime and aftercare involve?

There is some slight downtime following the procedure. We are breaking the skin so there will be some clear redness on the surface of the skin. This will disperse in time. There can also be some bruising post treatment on the treated area. Patients should moisturise the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a broad spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing the risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also slow the aging process.

Will I be given anaesthetic?

An anaesthetic cream is applied prior to treatment.

Are there any contraindications?

Keloid scars; history of eczema, psoriasis and other chronic conditions; history of actinic (solar) keratosis; history of Herpes Simplex infections; history of hemophilia; history of diabetes; the presence of raised moles, warts on the targeted area.
